About us
De Porres Memorial Foundation (DPMF) is a registered Tanzanian Local NGO dedicated to serving and empowering vulnerable populations in our communities. Our work is driven by a unique blend of personal experience and professional expertise, providing holistic care and advocacy.
We were offically registerd by the Ministry of Ministry of Health with registration number 00NGO/00009956 Currently 00NGO/R1/00967. Our physical location is on Luis Street, Mbezi Ward, Ubungo District.

Our Core Members
The Foundation is composed of individuals who have personally navigated complex health and social challenges, including:
- Former TB and Hansen’s disease (leprosy) patients, offering unparalleled insight, peer support, and hope to individuals currently undergoing treatment.
- People Living with HIV (PLHIV) who are dedicated to reducing stigma and advocating for the rights and needs of the HIV community.
- Youth Sexual and Reproductive Health and Rights (SRHR) advocates, focused on promoting comprehensive, age-appropriate sexual and reproductive health information, access to services, and protection of rights, particularly among vulnerable youth populations.
THE EXPERT TEAM
This core membership is supported by a multidisciplinary team of passionate professionals with expertise in TB, drug-resistant TB (DR-TB), TB/HIV co-infection, community-based TB care, Adolescent Sexual and Reproductive Health and Rights (ASRHR), HIV/AIDS, leprosy, substance abuse, and Gender-Based Violence (GBV).
ST. MARTIN DE PORRES DISPENSARY
As an extension of our commitment to holistic well-being, the Foundation operates St. Martin De Porres Dispensary, a vital healthcare facility that directly implements our health mandate by providing essential primary healthcare services to the community.
The dispensary is officially owned and managed by De Porres Memorial Foundation and delivers services that are central to our mission, including:
- General outpatient services (OPD)
- Basic diagnostic laboratory services
- Pharmaceutical and therapeutic services
- Youth-friendly health services
- TB screening, diagnosis, and management
- HIV/AIDS prevention and care
- STI screening, diagnosis, and management

Our integrated structure—combining peer-led community support with professional medical services delivered through St. Martin De Porres Dispensary—enables us to provide comprehensive, compassionate, and community-driven primary healthcare services to the most vulnerable populations.
